Is School Closed?

School Closings and Delays will be posted on the SVSU Homepage and every SVSU School's Website within our system. Closing information is also available through various news programs and websites. The links and Television Stations are listed below.

K12 Alerts Messaging System

Members of the SVSU community may sign up for the K12 Alerts Communication System here.

SVSU employees are added to the K12 Alerts system once they complete a K12 Alerts request form. SVSU students and their parent/guardian contacts are already in the K12 Alerts system.

If you believe you are receiving K12 Alerts messages in error, please contact the SVSU to have your name or telephone number removed from the system.

Early Dismissal Times

In the event that schools are closed early, the bus pickup times at the schools will be as follows: 
  • MAU High School - 11:05 AM
  • MAU Middle School - 11:15 AM
  • OnPoint/STEP - 11:15 AM
  • Woodford Elementary - 11:15 AM
  • Bennington Elementary - 12:00 PM
  • Molly Stark Elementary - 12:00 PM
  • Monument Elementary - 12:00 PM
  • Pownal Elementary - 12:00 PM
  • Shaftsbury Elementary - 12:00 PM
  • Early Childhood Program - Closed
